Prof. Dr. Berrin Günaydın – About

I was born in Kahramanmaraş. I studied at Ankara Atatürk Anatolian High School (1976-1983) and Ankara University Faculty of Medicine (1983-1989). I did my specialty training at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation (1989-1994). During my specialty training, I worked as a visiting research assistant at the Department of Anesthesiology, Faculty of Medicine, Amsterdam University with a scholarship from the Ministry of National Education (1991-1992). Then I did my PhD in Pharmacology at Gazi University, Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacology (1994-2000). I was promoted to assistant professor in 2000, docent in 2002, professor in 2007 and I am still working as a professor in Gazi University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation. I am married and mother of one child.

I am the Chairman of the Clinical Research Ethics Committee of Gazi University. I am the Chairman of the Obstetric Anesthesia Committee (2016-2020) and the Deputy Coordinator of the Obstetric Anesthesia Training Course (2015-2019) of the Turkish Society of Anesthesiology and Reanimation (TARD) and a member of the European Society of Anaesthesiologists (ESA) and the American Society of Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology (SOAP). I am ESA’s OLA Examination Center Supervisor and TARD’s Online Resident Evaluation Examination Coordinator and ESA Trainee Exchange Program (TEP) responsible.
